The role
Support pilots by planning flights, reviewing dispatch information, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
As a Dispatcher at Icelandair Virtual, you will support pilots throughout their flight operations by preparing and reviewing flight plans, checking routes, weather, fuel, and operational information, and assisting with any dispatch-related questions. Dispatchers help ensure flights are properly planned, provide operational support when needed, and work with the Flight Operations team to keep Icelandair Virtual’s day-to-day operations running smoothly and realistically.

Monitor active flight operations

Assist pilots with operational questions or issues

Ensure flights follow Icelandair Virtual procedures

Coordinate with the Flight Operations team

Maintain accurate dispatch and flight information

Help ensure smooth and realistic daily operations

Must be 16 years of age or older
- 02
Strong interest in aviation and flight operations
- 03
Basic understanding of flight planning and dispatch procedures
- 04
Familiarity with aviation weather, routes, and NOTAMs
- 05
Good communication and teamwork skills

Able to remain professional and reliable

Willing to learn Icelandair Virtual procedures and systems

Able to work independently when required

Previous virtual airline or flight simulation experience is preferred but not required
