Information we use

Icelandair Virtual may process account, flight and community information supplied through vAMSYS or by pilots directly. This information is used to operate the virtual airline, maintain pilot records and support community activity.

When you choose “Login with vAMSYS,” vAMSYS asks you to approve access to your basic identity and pilot profile. We receive your vAMSYS user and pilot IDs, name, email address, callsign and rank information. We use this data to verify membership, attach support requests to your account and, where applicable, confirm Staff Team access. We do not receive your vAMSYS password and do not retain vAMSYS access or refresh tokens.

When you open a support request, we store your verified identity, category, subject and message so staff can respond and maintain your ticket history. New-ticket notifications containing that information are sent to our private staff Discord channel.

Service providers

Our operation may rely on third-party services including vAMSYS, VATSIM and Discord. Their own privacy terms apply when you use those services. Support requests are retained only while reasonably needed to resolve requests and maintain operational records.
