Icelandair Virtual now runs its day-to-day operation through a Pilot Hub and Pilot Client built specifically for our airline. The goal is simple: fewer disconnected pages, less repeated work and a much clearer path from deciding where to fly to closing the aircraft down.
A booking becomes the centre of the workspace. It carries the route, aircraft, timetable, dispatch release and briefing forward, then joins the live operation when the Pilot Client connects to the simulator.
Book, brief and dispatch in one place.
The Flight Centre searches the current Icelandair Virtual schedule and shows aircraft availability without sending pilots through separate planning pages. Once selected, the same booking opens the operational briefing and dispatch workflow.

Routes, operating days, aircraft assignments and registrations are maintained directly by Icelandair Virtual.

Weather, route, fuel planning, alternates and release status remain attached to the active flight.
A direct handoff to the Pilot Client
The desktop client receives the outstanding booking and begins tracking when the simulator is ready.
Northline is part of the Hub now.
Training, operational documents, radio practice, Crew Mail and pilot support now sit alongside the flying record instead of feeling like separate products. The public Northline library remains open to anyone who wants to prepare; account-specific work is available inside the Pilot Hub.
After landing, position reports and recorded events become the PIREP, career history and flight replay. The same record can contribute to activities, tours, ranks and the public logbook when a pilot chooses to share it.

Moving away from a third-party operating platform means the airline can improve the exact workflows our pilots use. It also means the website, Pilot Hub, Pilot Client, Northline and Operations Control can work from the same records instead of copying information between systems.
The new operation is live now. Existing members can sign in, and new pilots can create an account directly with Icelandair Virtual. Pilots with eligible previous history are offered a one-time transfer before continuing entirely in the new system.
